Kenny Sinclair
Kenny Sinclair

We are saddened by the passing of the nicest man ever.
Many knew him worldwide as Kenny Sinclair of The Olympics. In the past he was a member of The Elgins and a member of The Six Teens, who had the hit recording A Casual Look. He was only sixteen at the time, and later joined the world-famous Olympics.
Traveling all around the world with The Olympics, doing concerts with every act from Big Joe Turner, The Penguins, Brenton Wood, Al Wilson, Rosie and the Originals, and so many more well-known acts.
To many he was Kenny from The Olympics, but to others he was Dad, husband, grandpa, and the nicest man ever to his friends. I was fortunate to be one of his friends. My personal manager Gene Davidson considered himself lucky to be one of his friends too.
They would meet for coffee or breakfast and talk on the phone for hours. Seems like he always had time to meet or talk, and was one of the easiest people to know and like. We would always see each other at different concerts and chat or encourage one another.
Freda Sinclair, his wife, was always at each concert because she managed the group — and she was not only his wife, she was his friend.
Kenny had been in music most of his life and took great pleasure in writing songs at home and performing at some very nice venues with the Olympics. I know he loved sports almost as much as music. He and Freda took up golf after she retired from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
Kenny Sinclair was born and raised in California and lived in Rialto with his wife Freda. He will be missed professionally, but most of all, his wife and friends will miss the nicest man ever.
