RIP Rosie. When I was a child my Mom used to sing Angel Baby while she worked in the kitchen. I have always loved your voice and think of Mom when I hear your song. Now my youngest daughter loves listening to Angel Baby and reminiscing about her Grandma. Thank you for the wonderful memories your music has inspired.

So sad. I had just joined the Army, I remember listening to this on the radio. Such golden memories you have helped me make. Rest in Gods arms, we miss you.

It's been a few months now, but I have to say I was very sad to learn that Rosie had passed earlier this year. My wife and I, and my late cousin and his wife, all saw Rosie perform at Disneyland during "Blast to the Past" in the 1980s, and we marveled at how great her voice was, and that she could still hit those high notes. She was very gracious onstage and it was special to see her in person. Rest in peace, and thank you for the music.

Rosie and the Originals' Angel Baby was the song we ended all of our house parties with in the 50s and 60s as well as playing it during our parties. I am still best friends at almost 70 with the girls with whom I share these memories. We, the Babyboomers, were truly a blessed generation. Every time we hear the opening notes of Angel Baby, we smile. Thank you, Rosie and the Originals, for giving us such a happy, nostalgic memory to share.

I am so sorry for your loss .I did not know that she had past away . I am so glad I found this sight. I consider "Angel Baby" the "BEST" doo wop song from the 1960's. and one of the best doo wop songs ever written. It reminder me of the really early 1953-1958 doo wop music .I could already see music changing then and it did. I first heard it in a small restaurant in my town. I am 77 and have love it ever since. When ever I play doo wop songs on my computer I play Angle Baby first and when I am done I play it last.I have 3 of the original records. she was a wonderful person I am sure she is with the Angels . God bless your family

Oh, Rosie… I see you have passed. I think I first saw you singing at the Bostonia Ballroom in 1959 or so. My forks had dragged me out to square dance and were horrified to find themselves at a Country & Western show. I think one of the singers was you? I noticed you as you were pretty and about my age. I knew Noah Tafolla later on in high school. He said he you used to sing out there for tips. I saw you with him several times out and about after that. Noah and I weren’t good friends, just buddies/casual friends however, for some reason he told me the “big secret”. The next and last time I saw you was in the mid to late 1960s at a party in Point Loma. I knew some folks there but it was not my crowd. I think I made an appearance just to be respectful of the invitation. There was a record changer playing softly out on the pool deck. A few couples were dancing. You seemed alone and sitting by yourself. We had both changed, but I thought it was you. So, the next break I asked you to... Read more

You seemed alone and sitting by yourself. We had both changed, but I thought it was you. So, the next break I asked you to dance. To my good fortune, it turned out to be a slight oldie, (in the English music era), "Angle Baby". How lucky could I be? You relaxed and put your head on my shoulder, softly hummed, and half sang along with the record. I did not think you remembered me as a casual friend of Noah’s. I walked you back to your chair and probably left the party. Still it was one of those unexpected sweet moments in life that I obviously still remember to this day. May you rest in peace, pretty little girl. Tom Burke... Collapse
